Assistant Regional Support Manager
Beth has over 21 years of experience within the property management industry, she has managed diverse portfolios of properties from lease-up, military, tax credit and student housing. Beth has her certification as a Manager of Community Associations with the NBC-CAM National Board. Areas of expertise include team and employee development, multi-site properties, renovations, lease ups, budgeting and financial analysis. Beth is currently pursuing her (CPM) designation from the institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).
Bethany Block serves as the Assistant Regional Support Manager. She joined Dodson Property Management in October 2016. Bethany is a graduate of University of Central Florida and she began her career in property management with Archstone in 2011 in Arlington, Virginia. When Archstone was acquired by AvalonBay Communities a few years later, she started at a new property and begin her role as the Sales and Service Supervisor. In the summer of 2016, her husband took a position in Richmond and they moved to Midlothian with their two children, Grayson and Charlotte. In her free time, Bethany enjoys being with her family and enjoy everything the Richmond area has to offer.
Compliance Regional Manager
A Richmond native, Katie attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and spent seven years in retail management before beginning her career in property management in 2013. Working at a brand new, mixed-income community with historic tax credits, she quickly gained experience in a lease-up environment. She was promoted to Assistant Property Manager in March of 2015, and obtained her Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) designation the following June. Katie joined the Dodson team when it acquired CoreRVA Properties, Inc. in August of 2016, and was promoted to the position of Regional Compliance Manager in January of 2017. She now oversees a growing portfolio of over 500 affordable housing units, spread across five communities. When she isn’t working, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and playing video games.
Regional Property Manager
Trae grew up in Richmond, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Residential Property Management in 2004. He joined Dodson Property Management in May 2017 as a Regional Property Manager. Trae has over 14 years of experience within the property management industry. During his career, he has worked on a diverse portfolio of properties to include: REIT properties, student housing, and lease up projects. Trae is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) & the Virginia Apartment Management Association (VAMA). He is currently a CPM ® candidate and expects to earn his credential in late 2018. In his free time, Trae enjoys the outdoors, attending live sporting events and concerts, and spending time with his family. Trae and his wife currently reside in Powhatan county.
Vice President of Multi-Family Management
Tara Carter began her career in property management at the age of 18, working as a leasing professional in Austin, Texas. Tara has worked in numerous onsite and corporate office roles throughout her more than 20 year career, including Property Manager, District Manager, Regional Vice President, Asset Manager, and Director of Operations for Plus Management in Richmond, VA. She was responsible for all strategic planning and operational directives. From 2003 to 2010, Tara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and her Master of Business Administration (MBA). She graduated both programs magna cum laude. Tara earned her Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) in 2001 and Certified Property Manager (CPM®) in 2014. She is also an NAAEI certified instructor since 2007 and continues her apartment industry education at the NAA Education Conference & Exposition and statewide Apartment Association conferences. Tara is on the board of directors for The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and The Virginia Apartment Management Association (VAMA).
Meredith Glass a Richmond native graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from Randolph-Macon College in 2009. With seven years of Property Management experience in Leasing, Assistant Manager, and Property Manager roles, she joined the Dodson team in 2017 as the Project Coordinator for the Multi-Family Department. Prior to joining Dodson she was the Property Manager for the property garnering the highest sales price per unit in Richmond history. She currently resides in Chester with her husband and two daughters and enjoys reading and baking in her spare time.
